Learning the Quran Online: A Study Method
Sabaq (New Lesson)
The new teaching method involves the instructor reading aloud a few passages from the Holy Quran, which the student then reviews, practices pronouncing correctly, and tries to remember by reading aloud numerous times. It is the student’s responsibility to review this material both before and after class.
Sabaqi (Revised Lesson)
If the learner has been working on memorizing a particular surah or Juzz, this will be the review lesson for that specific section. Every student must read this Sabaqi aloud, and the instructor will listen as they do so at the end of the New Lesson. This is so that the information that has been learned may be retained.
That’s how many verses from any Surah or Juzz have been committed to Memory by pupils in the last several years. Students will begin Manzil once they have completed Sabaq and Sabaqi. The student will present at least half of a Surah or Juzz for revision to the instructor during this session. Teachers and parents may rest easy knowing that their children will retain the information presented in this lesson and remember it.
Levels of Memorizations
Everyone is very busy with work and other obligations. In addition, students’ busy academic schedules give them little time to commit the whole Quran to Memory. Many try remembering at least some verses of the Holy Quran to keep it close to their hearts forever. The path at this stage is up to the student and their family.
- Remembering the last Juzz (No. 30)
- Learning the brief suras by heart:
- To know certain surahs by heart: Surah Yaseen, Surah Al-Rahman, Surah Al-Mulk, Surah Al-Waqiah, Surah Kahaf, etc.
The second level is committing to Memory.
The Holy Quran may be memorized in its entirety at this stage. Most pupils want to finish Juzz No.30 before beginning Juzz No.1. However, this varies with the children’s and their parent’s preferences. Joining this class will allow you to schedule free trials for your kids. Students who complete Hifz-e-Quran will be awarded a Hifz-e-Quran certificate attesting to their achievement.
