She supported me with her money when people deprived. Moreover, Allah -the Almighty- gave me children from her, not from others”.

Who is Khadijah
Lady Khadijah’s full name is Khadijah daughter of Khuwilid son of Asad son of Abd el-Uza.
Lady Khadijah’s Father and Mother
The father of Lady Khadijah was one of the prominent figures among Quraish. Khuwilid bin Asad was one of delegation sent by Quraish to Yemen to express congratulations to the new king.
Lady Khadijah’s mother was one of Quraish tribe, and called Fatima bint Za’ida bin al-Asam.
Marriage of khadija bint khuwaylid before Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
Khadijah was married twice before Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Both of the two men died, and she has a son from the second husband.
After these two marriages, Lady Khadijah refused to marry again, in spite that most of prominent men of Quraish asked her for marriage due to her honor, beauty, and wealth.
Lady Khadijah as a Trader
Quraish was known by two trading journeys during the year, one in the summer and the other in the winter. Lady Khadijah was of wealth and used to send men with her money for trading.

Lady Khadijah was well-known by her lofty manners and good qualities before Islam. People of Quraish used to call her “al-Tahira”, which means “The purified women”.
They used to call her as well “Most honorable Lady of Quraish women”.
It is said about Lady Khadijah: “She was wise and noble, moreover, she was religious women, who was respected and of great honor”.
How Lady Khadijah did marry Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)?
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) great fame as the “Honest and Trustworthy” was spread all over Mecca. As a business women, lady Khadijah asked for Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) to trade with her money.
It was a remarkably successful journey, in which the Prophethood sings were noticed.
Lady Khadijah admired Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), she wanted to marry him for his good qualities and honor.
Unlike the Customs, Lady Khadijah proposes marriage from Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
It was not easy work to propose a marriage by a woman. Lady Khadijah asked two women to manage expressing her wish to marry Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
When Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) showed no objection, Lady Kadijah spoke to him by herself about the matter. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) informed his uncle Abu Talib who talked to her uncle.
Dowry of Lady Khadija form Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
The dowry that Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) granted Lady Khadijah was 500 Dirham of silver.
Age of Lady Khadija and Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) at the time of marriage
One should notice that Arabs at that time used not to consider for the age of the couple. Majority of scholars see that Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was 25 years old, while Lady Khadija was 40.

Lady Khadijah, the Righteous and Noble Wife
With her expectations for her husband to be a prophet, Lady Khadijah used to serve Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) by herself and support him by her money very much. So that later Allah sent to her glad tidings of Paradise with Angle Gebreil.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Gabriel came to the Prophet and said, “O Allah’s Messenger! This is Khadija coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Rabb (i.e. Allah) and on my behalf, and give her the glad tidings of having a Qasab palace in Paradise wherein there will be neither any noise nor any fatigue.”
Ibn Hajr said: “She (Lady Khadijah) was anxious to please him (Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)) as much as possible, and never let him angry like what other wives later did.”
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) showed appreciation to Lady Khadijah. He loved and appreciated her so much. He never marry again while she is alive, and spent with her alone most of his life, about 25 years.

Lady Khadijah’s children from Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
Scholars agreed that Lady Khadijah gave birth for four daughter: Lady Fatimah, lady Rokaiya, lady Um Kulthoom, lady Zeinab. They also agreed that Lady Khadijah gave birth for one son, al-Qasim, and they differed if Lady Khadijah had more sons.
Lady Khadijah, the lady of the prophetic house
Lady Khadijah was the lady of the house of the prophet and the mother of his children both before and after the message of Allah. Lady Khadijah had the strong feelings and the admiredable qualities as mother.
The house of lady Khadijah was a house off mercy, generosity, nobility. In that house and under the care of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) children would grow.
Beside the children of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), there were Ali bin Abi Talib, Hind bin Ibi Halah, the son of Lady Khadijah form a previous husband, as well as Zeid bin Haritha.
The Role of Lady Khadijah with the signs of the Message.
When the message of Allah became soon, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) used to see unusual lights, hear abnormal sounds, and see strange dreams form time to time.
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) used to hurry to his beloved wife to talk to her. Lady Khadija was wise enough to assure him and confirm that Allah would not disgrace him for his trust, honesty, helping people etc.
Lady Khadija and Cave of Hira
Lady Khadija used to love what her husband loved even if it was against what she wished.
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) used to spend many nights and days in Cave of Hira. At this time he would be away from his wife, but she never complained or showed that she is annoyed.
Lady Khadija used to prepare Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) for his time in the Cave of Hira with what he would need. It is reported that Lady Khadija accompanied Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) one time to the Cave of Hira.
Lady Khadija Wisdom with the Coming of the Message
Upon the first meeting between Prophet Mohammad and Angle Gebreil, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) hurry to Lady Khadijah trembling of fear. Lady Khadija controlled the difficult situation with wisdom.
Lady Khadija had trust in the good qualities of her husband enough to swear that Allah will not disgrace him. She assured him and asked her cousin, who was of knowledge, about what Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) saw.
Lady Khadija is the first believer of this Nation ` “
Ibn Hajar said: “One of the virtue of Lady Khadija that she used to respect and trust Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) before and after the Message”.
Imam Tha’labi reported that Scholars agreed that Lady Khadijah was the first to believe in the message of Allah.
Lady Khadija suffered oppression with Muslims
When Prophet Muhammad received the Message of Allah and started to call people, Quraish started to cause harms to him and those who believe in him.
Lady Khadija suffered the divorce of her daughter Rokaiya, and then her migration to Ethiopia with her new husband.
Lady Khadija suffered the boycott that Quraish declared against Muslims for three years.
End of the life of Lady Khadija
It was called the Year of Sorrow for Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) in which he lost his beloved wife who used to support him. She passed away soon after his Uncle death.
Love never ends to Lady Khadija
In spite of the heavy tasks and great missions required by the Message of Allah, Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) continued to remember Lady Khadija.
Although he (PBUH) had at some time nine wives, he still confessed the love of Lady Khadija.
Lady ‘Aisha said: “I have never feel jealous from one of the other wives of the Prophet more than I felt of Lady Khadija”.
When Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) slaughtered an animal, he used to send gifts to the friends of lady Khadija.
Ali bin Abi Talib said: I heard Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) saying “The best of (the women of her time) is Maryam Bint Amran, and the best of (the women of her time or Muslim nation) is Khadija Bint Khuwilid”.
Lady Khadija was a great, noble, wise women who enjoy love and respect of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). One wonders, who Lady Khadijah was that Allah sends Peace through Angle Gebreil. She had the deep faith that would never shake. She was the first to believe in the messages of Allah. May Allah be pleased with Lady Khadija.
